Avail an acne consultation before starting AviClear sessions or during your first visit. The 1-hour consultation costs $150, which is included in AviClear sessions if you opt for it.

Limit any exercise or activity that can cause seating for 24 hours post-treatment.
Avoid heat (hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, etc.) for 48 hours post-treatment.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizing cream.
Makeup can be used the day after treatment.

Q: I am taking spironolactone. Should I stop before AviClear treatment?

A: No, stop taking spironolactone a few weeks after your last AviClear session under the audience of your doctor

Q: I am using tretinoin (retinoid, retinol). Should I continue using it?

A: If tretinoin is helping with your acne, continue using it. If it's a prolonged purge, stop before treatment

Q: My skin is irritated from acne medications. Is AviClear safe?

A: If your skin is irritated, dehydrated, or sensitive to acne medications, stop using them for 2 weeks before the procedure and apply a generous layer of Vaseline every evening (we recommend the moisturizing ointment Vanicream). Vaseline won't clog pores and will help heal the skin quickly

Q: I plan to become pregnant. Should I undergo AviClear treatment?

A: Yes, make sure you are not pregnant on the treatment day
